Pablo Watusi Martínez
Musician, student of Baton and Colombia’s youth symphony orchestra School, bassoon player at the children’s symphony orchestra, saxophone at the Real Skademia, La-33. Singer with La-33 orchestra for 10 years, director of Afrocachaco and composer/coproducer with Salsangroove.
Juan Felipe Cárdenas
Saxophone player, composer and arranger, with over 18 years of experience participating in the music scene with Salsa, Jazz, Latin Jazz and Fusion, being part of bands such as La-33, Salsangroove, ChocQuibTown, Petit Fellas, Nowhere Jazz quintet, and Igaragó among others. Session musician for bands like Monsieur Perine, Maite Hontele and Diamante Eléctrico among others. Over 20 international tours throughout 5 continents.
Juan Carlos Arrechea
Colombian drummer born in Bogotá with background from Puerto Tejada, Cauca (Colombia). Professional experience of over 16 years at a regional, national and international level. He has dedicated his career to interpreting and executing traditional Colombian and Afro Caribbean drums. His experience has led him to play with masters of Colombian “folklore”. His curiosity and interest in combining the language of traditional Afro-Latino American drums with international music has led him to be an active member of important bands, performing in over 100 concerts throughout 25 countries around the world.
Juan Andrés Cortés
Electric guitarist influenced by rock, blues and metal. His experience includes symphony orchestras, philharmonics and musicals. Participated in the recording of Earth’s album with AKT ANDO in Lyon, France in 2018 with musicians from Switzerland, France and Colombia. He has been member of bands like Baterimba, Bogota Symphonic Orchestra, MISI musicals an El Tote Jazz Group. He has toured throughout America, Europe and UK.
Larry Arraray
Drums have always been his energy and artistic channel, he was influenced by musical heritage from the Colombian Atlantic and Pacific coasts, he is a “Tamborero” before a drummer, the tradition of Colombian drums have set his musical identity. “PALENKE” has been his strength for cultural resistance, in this folklore band from Bogotá, Colombia he became an artist and musician from the early age of 11. He has been part of bands from Bogotá, Colombian fusion groups, expressing his tradition as a percussionist. He has traveled and played in over 30 countries around the world.
